Sir William James Herschel was the first englishman to use fingerprints when he
used them on native contracts in Jungipoor, India, as shown below.

Professor Paul-Jean Coulier from Val-de-Grâce in the city of France published his
discoveries from observations of a way to preserve impressions by the iodine fuming method.

Dr. Henry Faulds a british surgeon-superintendent from Tsukiji Hospital located
in Tokyo, Japan studied skin-furrows when he noticed specimens on prehistoric pottery.
